I love visitors!!

...as long as I don't have to take pictures with them. This was our attempt to try and have all the kids in one picture.

Zootastic

Poppy, Aunt Gina and cousin all joined us at the zoo today. It was Brock's first visit and just like Ben did on his first visit, he fell asleep before we got to the monkeys. Brooke rode the carousel for the first time too. She loved riding up and down on the tiger.

Ducks really do like fish!!

We spent the day at the zoo and while we were waiting for Poppy and Aunt Gina to get there we fed the ducks. The only thing I had to feed them was goldfish and they loved them almost as much as Brooke. She was putting just as many in her mouth as she was giving to the ducks.

Poppy, I'm all blinged out

I have such a little girly girl!! She had to put on every piece of bling she got and model it for everyone.

Christmas morning chaos

Christmas morning was, as always, with 3 children, a little chaotic, and the kids were a little overwhelmed with all the toys that Santa had brought. These were 2 of their favorites.

Cookies for Santa

Last night we baked cookies and put them out for Santa along with some milk. Brooke didn't know why she couldn't eat them herself.

More Presents Please

We spent Christmas Eve at Uncle Jim's house and Brooke loved to open presents. In fact, when we were done, she said, "More presents please" and was very upset when there were no more.

More Candy Please

Brooke and Ben decorated a gingerbread house tonight and I use the word decorate loosely. For every 1 piece that made it onto the house, 10 pieces went into their mouths. They had a great time though.

Don't run me over Ben!!

Good thing that Brooke's moves fairly quickly!!

On the Farm

Yesterday, Wendy and I took Ben and Brooke to Grammy & Paw Paw's farm. Ben and Brooke learned how to drive the John Deere tractor, although they still can't steer it. Of course, Ben wanted to ride and run through the mud and Brooke would have nothing to do with it. She kept saying, "Weno, be careful mud" as we walked to see the cows. My little princess was not about to get her rubber boots muddy.

I read it

Storytime has become a part of our nightly ritual, but lately, I can only get through about 1/2 of a book before Brooke rips it out of my hands and says "I read it". Most of the time she just says "once upon a time" everytime she turns the page. Hopefully she will love to read as much as I do.

My little naked girl

As soon I take Brooke's diaper off to get in the bathtub, she makes a mad dash to run around the house naked. The same thing goes for when I get her out of the tub and wrap her in the towel.

Bubble Bath

I have been meaning to buy some bubble bath for Brooke and I finally did. As you can see, she loved her bubbles.

Brooke has issues

When I woke Brooke up from her nap today, she had one arm up through the neck of her shirt. She looked at me and said..."Mommy, I got issues!"

Like father, like daughter

Just as Joe loves to sing for Kareoke, so does Brooke. She is learning all kinds of new songs and we are all singing right along with her. This was in the Caymans at the Flower's house.

So Cited about Santa

So we have been talking about Santa for weeks since Brooke was terrified of the Easter Bunny. I have been showing her last year's picture to get her ready. This morning she was so "cited" to see Santa. She told everyone that she saw that she was going to see Santa. As soon as we got to the mall to see him, she was immediately terrified and wanted to nothing to do with Santa. The woman taking the pic was quick she snapped the pic so I could get her down immediately. Hopefully we will do better next year.

To Hell in a Handbasket

Which one is she...the devil or the angel? Depends on the day. In Cayman, there is a place called hell that actually has a post office so you can send cards postmarked from Hell.

Turtles, Turtles and more Turtles

Brooke ran around like a crazy person trying to see all of the turtles at the turtle farm. She loved that you could touch them.

All in the Family

Brooke will be the only one with healthy skin in the future. As I was rubbing her down with 50 SPF every day, the rest of us were trying to get as much sun as possible.

Happy Turkey Day

We spent Thanksgiving with the Looneys and they have a son, Joey, that is just a little bit older than Brooke. They both had a blast running around in the backyard playing tag and hide and seek.

Beach Bum

Brooke spent everyday in the Caymans on the beach and loved every minute of it.

Playing on the Beach

If a picture says a thousand words, then this video is priceless...

First in the Water

Brooke wanted to be the first in the water, so as soon as we pulled up to the condo she jumped right out of the car and headed to the ocean. She wanted to stay and play even after the sun went down and it was pitch black outside. She was soaked from head to toe by the time we made it inside.

I'll show you Elmo

Brooke did really well on the plane. When we were starting to land she wanted to show Elmo the clouds.

A Day at the Zoo

We spent Friday at the zoo with the Mulholland's and had a great time. The funniest thing that happened was when Brooke fell and started crying, Ben went over to where she fell and laid down on the ground and started fake crying in sympathy for her. The kids loved seeing all the animals and especially loved the petting zoo.

Driving Around

Wendy and I took the kids shopping with us at Katy Mills Mall and they insisted that they drive the dumptruck.

Buckets of Fun

Wendy wanted this bucket for Ben's toys in the garage and when we pulled it out, they both insisted on getting in together.

Happy Halloween

This was the first year that Brooke really got to go trick or treating in the neighborhood. My little tinkerbell also got her first taste of a lollipop and she took one lick and said "I like it". I wonder if she will ever go to sleep tonight after all the candy she has eaten.
Today was school picture day at Mother's Day Out. I would love to tell you that I have a beautiful picture of Brooke to share with you; however, she was way to scared of the photographer to have her pic taken. She has such a phobia of strange men that she wouldn't go anywhere near the guy. They sent home my money and a note saying that they decided not to traumatize her anymore. I guess we will try again next year.

Down on the Farm

We spent the weekend with Aunt Mary and Uncle Steve (or Uncle Gus as Brooke called him.) Brooke loved driving the gator with Mary. She was a little afraid of the cows because they are a lot bigger in real life than they are in her books. She would get about 5 feet away from the fence and they would moo and she would run back to me saying, Mommy scared!

I LOVE ELMO

We don't go anywhere without Elmo. She sleeps with him every night.

Go Yia Yia!!!

Brooke and I went to Dallas this weekend to see Yia Yia walk in the Susan G Comen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk. Brooke made a great cheerleader and yelled for all the walkers as they came by.

Looking for the Great Pumpkin

Brooke and Ben loved the pumpkin patch and wanted to pick up all of the pumpkins and carry them around the patch. Brooke insisted that she could pull Ben in the wagon, not realizing how heavy he really is. We looked all over for the Great Pumpkin, but we never saw him.

I love my Bling Bling

Brooke's favorite thing to do with her Mr. Potatohead is to put on the earrings and wear them around the house.

Driving Poppy's truck

Brooke was so excited when Poppy let her drive his truck. It was different from her car, because the wheels actually turn when you turn the steering wheel.

Saturday, October 13, 2007

Joe did his first triathalon and Brooke was there yelling "Go Daddy". This is her wearing his medal for finishing.

My new hat!!

Brooke has her bloomers on her head as a hat and I wish I could find the picture of me doing the same thing.

This is what shopping should be

Wendy and I went to Memorial City Mall and the kids loved to play on the playground. In fact they both cried when we had to put them back in the stroller.
