Everyone keeps asking me how Brooke feels about the new baby at home. She really doesn't seem to care until it's time to take a picture, then she is all smiles.

At Methodist Hospital, they have the hand prints of all the brothers and sisters of the babies born there on the wall. Brooke was very excited to become part of the artwork on the wall, that is until I told her that she couldn't write on the wall. I know that we tell her how smart she is all the time, so I guess she just thought that she could write her own name on the wall.

After Brooke's birthday cake celebration at home, I started to have contractions. Sure enough he was ready to come and for the second time, Dr. Thornton was not on call to deliver my baby. I begged Dr. Chen to wait until after midnight to do my c-section so they wouldn't have the same birthday. Someone in the operating room said, "It's 12:01" so he got started. We welcomed Jack at 12:11 am on 8/22/08.

As a treat after lunch, Wendy brought Brooke a blue raspberry lollipop. Since Brooke sees pictures of Reagan with strange colored tongues, she was desparate to what color her tongue was.

Happy Birthday Brooke

We went to Steak N Shake for Brooke's birthday today and had a great time. Both of the kids loved to wear their hats and chowed down on the food. We will definately go back. They have great onion rings!

Two Wheeling Big Kid

Jim, Wendy and Ben gave Brooke a bicycle for her birthday. Daddy insisted that we have a helmet before we started riding. She is getting the hang of it but is still a little wobbly.

Dragon Mountain

Wendy, Paula and I took Ben, Reagan and Brooke to see the Backyardigans live. Brooke knows the whole show by heart as well as all of the songs. While Brooke was running around like a maniac, Ben and Reagan sat still in their seats for almost the entire show. I have never seen either one of them sit so still for so long.

In the world according to Brooke, we don't have birthday parties, we have birthday cakes! She had a great time with her friends and family at her party. Thanks to everyone that came out to celebrate.

The girl has come a long way...

Brooke used to be afraid of the John Deere tractor since Ben tried to run her over with it. She also never wanted to get her rubber boots wet. Boy have things changed at Grammy's house.
