Everytime someone would say how cute she looked, she would tell them that she wasn't cute, she was scary!

Parade

Our neighborhood does a parade every year for Halloween. All the kids follow the firetruck down the street. When the fire engine stops the firemen hand out glow necklaces to all the kids. Brock came over to trick or treat with us. When we got started he didn't care at all about it. Brooke on the other hand couldn't wait to gather all the candy she could.

Brooke loved it that Daddy got dressed up to take her trick or treating.

No Halloween party would be complete without face painting. Brooke decided on the scary cat after Mommy got the spider.

super slide

Going up the slide was really difficult, but it was well worth it once you got to the top. Brooke and Daddy had a great time sliding and bouncing down.

he's broken

I was sitting here on the computer checking my email when I hear two sets of screaming coming from the other room. Jack is lying on the floor screaming and Brooke was hiding in the other room screaming. When I asked her what happened all she could tell me was that he was broken. We may never know what really happened.

Brooke has really gotten good at riding her bike., but she insists on riding with her helmet.

Leah and Brooke had a great time running around the Children's Museum today. Brooke, always ready to ham it up for the camera, loved having her pic taken in the pumpkin.

At school when they tried to paint her face, she wanted nothing to do with it. Today at the Children's Museum she loved it.

Jack has really started smiling a lot, if only he weren't so camera shy. Ever time I get out the camera, he looks at me and stops smiling.

2 months and growing fast

We had Jack's 2 month checkup and he is 13 lbs, 14 oz and 22 inches. Boys definately eat more than girls and he is growing faster too...Brooke was only 10 lbs at her 2 month checkup.

My sweet boy

Jack seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to the blog. I forget that babies just don't do anything yet. Even Poppy asks me whe is he going to do something.

forever a princess

Everyday as soon as Brooke wakes up, she opens her jewelry box and puts her princess crown on. She would wear it to sleep if I let her.

Brooke has finally gotten the hang of turning in the car. She even let Brock drive, sort of. She let him sit behind the wheel while she pushed the pedal. I think that Poppy is going to have to get a new battery soon before they wear this one out.

Rainy day activity

When it's gross and rainy outside, just head to the library for story time. With stories, a puppet show and arts and crafts, the kids had a blast. We will definately be back.

It was all about spiders at the library today. This is Brooke's spider hat that she made.

Say Cheese

Trying to get 3 kids to look at the camera all at the same time is nearly an impossible task. Regardless of where they were looking, Leah, Ben and Brooke all said cheese as soon as the cameras came out.

old toys become new again

We finally pulled out the activity mat today and told Brooke that it was hers when she was a baby. Of course she had to get in there with Jack to play. He really likes the lights and music. Brooke just wants to make sure that she isn't left out of anything.

do you want me to open my mouth now?

Brooke had her first dentist appt today and she did amazing. She sat and watched as Lynn, our hygienist, cleaned Mommy's teeth. Then she jumped right up in the chair with Elmo in hand and asked "do you want me to open my mouth now?" Just like Mommy she doesn't like the toothpaste they use, but we had a great visit.

blanket or straight jacket?

The tighter you can squeeze him the more he likes it. I finally ended up buying a blanket called Swaddle Me, so Joe could put him back to sleep in the middle of the night. Yia Yia calls him the human burrito.
