got fish?

Joe took Brooke fishing for the first time today. Apparently, they caught lots of fish using hot dogs. Brooke loved using her Scooby Doo fishing pole. She wanted to carry her little tackle box with her.

Our trip to Cold Water

Brooke had no idea that we were going to SeaWorld and Ben couldn't seem to remember, so Wendy and I were giving them hints where we were going. The first hint was that it was a place with cold water and we might get splashed with it. For the rest of the trip we were going to Cold Water. When we got there and told them that we were at SeaWorld, they both said, "I thought we were going to Cold Water." Apparently, SeaWorld wasn't as cool. Even when as we were leaving, Ben said, "Good-bye Cold Water". Guess we'll have to go there next time. Take a look at all the pics.

how do you ride a roller coaster?

SHAMU! SHAMU! SHAMU!

Always a favorite and this time was no different. We barely made it to the show in time, so we didn't get to sit in the splash zone like the kids wanted.

I am not going to cooperate

I had to put this picture in...I have no idea what Ben is doing, but his face is priceless.

let's get wet

The splash pad was a great way to cool off since it was so hot outside, but it is no longer come and go as you please. They let a group of kids in for 10 minutes then they ring a bell when your time is up. Ben definately didn't want to leave.

is that scuba steve?

No, it's scuba CJ. The kids got to meet him before he went into the tank. Ben was really excited about the scuba diver guy.

hello dolly

Since we didn't get a picture with Shamu, the dolphin was a close second. Guess we'll have to try next time.

all tuckered out

They ran and played so hard all day that we knew they would sleep all the way home. Ben fell asleep mid french fry eating before we even left McDonalds. Brooke fell asleep about 30 minutes later. She woke up several times to go to the bathroom on the way home, but always fell asleep before we could pull over.

it's wagon time

Jack got his first ride in the wagon and he loved it. It didn't last too long because it is so hot outside. I wish that the weather would cool off soon.

I wanna be a rockstar

Brooke loves to pretend she's a rockstar singing and playing her guitar on her stage.

I want one like Reagan

Since leaving Reagan's house, we have had to find a lot of things that Reagan had. One of those things was a nightgown. Brooke now wants to wear one every night. She wants me to do laundry all the time to make sure that one is clean.

jack's first tooth

While I was waiting to get pics of Jack's first tooth, his second one broke thru.

Life on the edge

I have pictures of this with every kid that has ever been to my house and is learning to stand. My coffee table is the perfect height to pull up on. If you look closely, there are probably a few bite marks too.

arts and crafts

For Father's Day, Brooke along with Genna and Aubrey made picture frames for their daddies. The frames turned out super cute and Joe and Gary loved them.

game time

It's hard to play games with Brooke because Jack likes to eat all the pieces, so we usually wait til he's asleep. Brooke and Joe are playing memory.

a first for Jack

Jack loved being the pool. He was very happy to just sit in his boat and float around the pool.

read more please

Brooke loves storytime and was excited to have a new person to read to her.

all matching

Although I didn't plan it on purpose. Brooke, Jack and I were all wearing the same color. Nice to have me in some pics too, since I am always the one taking them.

perfect place for a picnic

up and down, up and down

The kids were definately more interested in running up and down the hill while Wendy and I sat with the babies in the shade.

peter and the wolf

Wendy and I decided to be brave and take 7 kids to see Peter and the Wolf at Miller Outdoor Theatre. It actually was a lot easier because Genna and Aubrey helped out with Brooke and Ben. I think they were all bored during the music, but when they acted out a modern day version, they seemed more interested.

it's always nice to share

After releasing the turtle, we went to dinner. Poppy decided to get a milkshake and of course Brooke wanted to share. Now she expects to get one everytime we go out.

yertle the turtle

Poppy and Yia Yia found a turtle in their neighborhood and kept it to show the grandkids. They were waiting to release him in the creek and Brooke insisted that she help. She was very concerned that the turtle find his family at the creek.
