We went to Galveston for the annual sandcastle contest. We decided not to tell Brooke where we were going until we got there and she woke from her nap as we were getting to East beach just in time to see the water. Whe woke up and whispered WOW as she saw where we were. The beaches were really crowded and there was a lot of seaweed but the kids had a great time anyway. The sandcastles were pretty amazing too!
Brooke and Ben's first trip to Chuck E Cheese and they loved it. Completely and totally chaotic for all the parents but the kids could have cared less. They loved riding all the rides and playing the games. Next time we go, it will be in the afternoon for lunch.
Poppy came over on Monday night to put Brooke's new bed together; however, the frame was too big for the mattress. This time everything fit perfectly and Brooke loves her new bed. She spends a lot more time in her room now. Joe can hardly stand it that she is growing up so fast.
I kept Brock all day today so we decided to go to the splashpad since it's too hot to do anything else. Unlike Brooke and Ben, Brock could care less about the water being in his face. They had a great time and Brooke loves to play with her cousin.
